Krygyzstan or the Kyrgyz Republic is situated in Central Asia. The country is landlocked and shares its borders with Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, China and Tajikistan. Krygyzstan is spread over an area of 199,900 sq kms. Bishkek is the capital of the country. Krygyz and Russian are the official languages of the land. Som is the official currency. A democratic parliamentary republic, the country is divided into 7 provinces for all administrative purposes. Each of the provinces is governed by a governor.
