JEE Main application for April session has been released on February 8, 2019. The governing authority for JEE Main NTA warned the candidates against submitting the duplicate applications. It has been observed that some students are filling multiple forms for the JEE Main April session. NTA has already stated that such forms will be rejected. It has been mentioned in the instructions that one candidate can only fill one application form and multiple applications by the same candidate will be rejected.
Therefore, the candidates are advised to follow the instructions and not to fill multiple application forms. In such case, all the duplicate forms will be rejected, the candidate will lose the opportunity to sit for JEE Main 2019 April Session exam.
National Testing Agency (NTA) has published important dates regarding the exam. The candidates will have to fill out an online form for April session before March 7, 2019. No application forms will be submitted after the particular date. The candidates can apply on the official website of NTA. The candidates can log in to the website and fill out the application form.
Steps to Fill JEE Main Application Form
In order to fill the application form for JEE Main April session 2019 a candidate must follow the below mentioned steps:
- Step 1– Log on to the official site of NTA.
- Step 2– Fill out the Online Application Form of JEE Main by providing your authentic personal and academic details.
- Step 3– While uploading your photograph and signature make sure you upload the correct type and size of the file.
- Step 4– The application fee can be paid using the online as well as the offline mode. To pay the application fee online, the candidates can opt for Credit card/ Debit card/ Net banking etc.
- Step 5– Make sure to get a print out of the application form as it may be required in the future.
Eligibility Criteria for JEE Main 2019
To be eligible for JEE Main a candidate is required to have at least 75 percent in class 12th board examination. This is the minimum eligibility criteria needed to qualify for JEE main or Advance. For the SC and ST category candidates, the eligibility percentage has been lowered to 65 percent.
By clearing the JEE Main exam, a candidate can appear for JEE Advanced. The candidate will become eligible to get admission in one of the IITs or NITs across the country depending on the rank. To make sure that the students face no last time online exam related problems the NTA has to build a network of Test Practice Centres(TPCs) under which all the students will get an opportunity to practice for the exam.
Many schools and colleges across the country have been registered where the students can practice well before the JEE Main 2019 exam. An app has also been launched that will provide the actual exam like environment to the students. This will help the students to practice well and score good marks in the exam.
Official answer key will also be made available for the students after the JEE Main exam gets over for April session. In this way, the students will be able to calculate their probable score. The students will also be able to predict their rank by using the JEE Main Rank Predictor.
The Release of Test Centers
Like JEE Main 2019 January session, the April session will also have test centers in almost every state and every region. At the time of form filling the candidates are asked to fill the preferable choice that is convenient to them. National Testing Agency has released the list of test centers for JEE Main 2019 April session. The candidates are asked to fill at least 4 choices for the test location. NTA will allocate the required test center on the basis of choices filled by the candidates. Once you get your test center, you cannot make any changes. You will have to abide by the NTA’s decision as no further changes can be done.
